If you are interested in joining SIMAIRFORCE please read the following so that you have a better understanding of our requirements.

GETTING STARTED:
Sim Air Force has 4 scheduled Academy classes each month and ALL starting on Sunday. After signing up, a recruiter will contact you via email and brief you our requirements and how you can get ahead start.

Once you are accepted you will be assigned to the Air Force Academy as a cadet. You will have 6 days to complete the following:

1. Must read the VATSIM PRC basics.
2. Complete an Initial Flight Screening (IFS) at Pueblo Airport, Colorado.

SPECIALIZED UNDERGRADUATE TRAINING:
You will then be assigned to SUPT where you will fly a series of flights that will bring you first to the T-6A Texan II in the first phase and then followed by the second phase which will depend on your track that you are assigned. Fighter/Bombers go to the T-38A Talon and Tranport/Tankers go to the T-1A Jayhawk.

BAQ BASIC AIRCRAFT QUALIFICATION:
Upon completing SUPT you will be assigned to the airframe that you want to fly operationally at that aircrafts training base. Again a series of flights to complete.

MQT MISSION QUALIFICATION TRAINING:
You are then assigned to your operational squadron and need to fly your final set of flights in order to become MISSION READY in order to fly operational missions.
Once you become mission ready you are required to fly at least two sorties every 30 days.

Additionally:
1. If you are coming from another VSOA military organization you may qualify for a FAST TRACK, once our recruiter verifies your previous hours and rank. This means going straight to BAQ, MQT, or direct duty.

2. Those pilots that are interested and have over 60 verifiable hours in a Virtual Airline for the commercial versions of these aircraft can be accepted into a FAST TRACK going direct to BAQ. *** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VUSAF PILOTS ***

VATSIM and VSOA (VATSIM Special Operations Affiliate) Program does not place limits on how many civilian or military organizations you want to belong to. Meaning, you can join as many as you like, as long as you meet and satisfy that organization's requirements.

If you are a VUSAF member, be advised that VUSAF policy is that you cannot join SIMAF (or any other VSOA for that matter) and will check our rosters (and those of those other VSOA) to ensure you are not a SIMAF member (this goes against the spirit of VATSIM policies, although not explicitly addressed), if you wish to remain as a SIMAF pilot, take note, that the VUSAF will remove you from their roster immediately.

In accordance with the spirit of VATSIM-SOA, SIMAF policy is that you can fly with anyone you want, you can have dual, triple, etc. membership in other VSOA. So, if you are a VUSAF member, know that you are free to join us without restrictions on our part, but be aware that VUSAF WILL remove you from their roster if you do.
